The Kaye adjustable resistance one-way ratchet rear wheel kits provide variable resistance to forward motion.  The wheel kits can be retrofitted to all Kaye “B”, “C”, “H” and “Y” frame walkers. They are particularly useful for children who have limited control of the speed of their walkers and who have difficulty slowing their speed so that they can practice their best pattern for walking. The resistance of each rear wheel can be adjusted separately so they can be used to control the effects of asymmetry or weakness when walking.
